Hunter Pence and Buster Posey provided the big hits, and the bullpen starred in today’s victory. Pence rolled a ball under the glove of second baseman Jason Kipnis for two RBI and the lead, 4-3, in the fourth. Posey led off the sixth with a home run ending a 3-for-40 slump.

Tim Lincecum started and gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. And the bullpen threw hitless ball for almost all of the second half of the game–4.1 innings. That lineup included Juan Gutierrez, rewarded with the win, Jean Machi, Jeremy Affeldt, and closer Sergio Romo. The Giants’ bullpen is putting together a fantastic record allowing a meager 2 earned runs in 11 home games for a 0.45 ERA.

The Giants go for the sweep of Cleveland, the scalp of Chief Wahoo, Sunday afternoon with Ryan Vogelsong facing Danny Salazar.
