Tim Hudson twirled 7.2 superb innings allowing 3 hits, striking out 7, and walking none and led the Giants to their second victory of the season in his spectacular debut with the Giants. Rehabbing the ankle is definitely in his rear view mirror.

The Giants’ offense, behind the shield of Hudson’s performance, scored two runs, one run more than they needed. Angel Pagan singled home a run, and Michael Morse drove in a second run driving the ball well over Tony Campana’s head.

Javier Lopez snared the final out of the eighth, and Sergio Romo deposited in the Giants’ Bank a perfect ninth striking out Paul Goldschmidt as he notched his second save in the young season. Ehire Adrianza, 2b, scored an error.

19,357 fans in the desert saw the very manageable game of two hours and forty-nine minutes.
